The Perfect "1st" Green Smoothie

I am so excited to announce that I won the Made Just Right® MindfulMayo Contest! It was a huge blessing for me! 15 hours in the kitchen mustering up my very best recipes with Mindful Mayo was not only physically taxing, but mentally taxing even more.

See, I wanted to come up with something not only creative, but very much something that I was comfortable feeding to those awaiting a good recipe to add to their collections. I wanted the photo to be every bit as great as the taste. And, I must say after hard work, I am grateful to have won the MindfulMayo recipe contests grand prize Blendtec Total Blender.

I am furthermore grateful because it is exactly what I prayed for.
A month before the MindfulMayo® contest I began to realize that my $99.00 Ninja from, although a good blender, just was not fit for juicing and making smooth green smoothies.

I found myself searching on the Internet learning about Vitamix versus Blendtec blenders, while at the same time realizing that I could not afford a $600.00 blender. It was just beyond my comfort zone to spend that much on a kitchen item (or kitchen essential if you ask me).

Well, I entered the contest (I must say) with my emotions tied into it. I knew what my prayers had been, and I knew where I sincerely wanted to go with my health.

I longed to win.

And, after 15 hours of proverbial "blood, sweat, and tears", I was blessed to discover that I had won! Thank you to Earth Balance® and the Made Just Right® crew. You made a dream truly come true, and each thing I blend for me and my husbands health now is filled with utter thankfulness to you all for making it possible. This Blendtec Total Blender is smooth, quick, hassle free, and every bit worth it!

Below is a recipe I want to share if you are starting your green smoothie journey.
