Baked Apple Pie Oatmeal


Baked Oatmeal.

It smells good. Tastes good. And even looks delish in the picture!

This is seriously the real deal for breakfast. Your kids and family will love it. Apple pie fans especially will love it.

It's like having dessert in the morning - just saving you on the side of calories - hopefully, if you can control your serving size. I know I can't - never can with this.

This breakfast is perfect.

It is quick, easy, and will cost you way less than running to Jamba Juice or some other place to get your morning breakfast.

Good morning to the sweet n' spiced aroma of baked apple pie oatmeal goodness!

This serves 6 to 8 people

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups of gluten free rolled oats
4 cups of soy or almond milk
1/3 cup of packed brown sugar
2 tbsp Earth Balance buttery spread, melted
1-1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 to 3/4 tsp apple pie spice
1/2 to 1 tsp vanilla extract
1 to 1-1/2 medium sized apples, sliced thinly
dash of celtic sea salt

Additional soy milk (optional)
Walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In 2-quart baking dish, mix together your gluten free rolled oats, soy (or almond) milk, brown sugar, Earth Balance buttery spread, and spices.

Thinly slices your apples, and add to the mixture.

Place in the oven to bake 30-40 minutes, or until the soy (or almond) milk is absorbed and the oats are pretty soft.

You may top this with walnuts, or additional soy milk if you would like.

Serve warm.
